In order to enable the expanding leather industry of the South-east Asia region to sustain and grow, without causing unnecessary degradation of the environment, the regional programme for pollution control in the tanning industry in South-East Asia was undertaken. Video documenting activities related to chrome management in tanneries was produced in 2001 by UNIDO.
