UNIDO in cooperation with Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), Mwanza Campus  and Leather Association of Tanzania (LAT) organized an expert group meeting on “Knowledge Management Systems in Education and Training in the Leather Value Chain”. The meeting covered lessons learned from conducted trainings during the project, opportunities and challenges of usage of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for learning and knowledge sharing by educational and training institutions will be discussed. The most recent understanding on their potential and challenges with the wider community of UNIDO’s recipient countries in the context of the Organization’s technical cooperation programs and projects on leather and footwear technology technical/vocational education and training will be shared.
